The New England Trail is a 235-mile long-distance hiking trail from Long Island Sound in Connecticut to the Massacshuetts/New Hampshire border. In Massachusetts, it runs generally north/south 98 miles starting at the Connecticut border at Rising Corner, Connecticut. As of March 2017, this trail includes most sections that formerly comprised the Metacomet-Monadnock Trail (which is more recently described as being a New Hampshire trail).
