Troop 54 camped in Union, Connecticut at Camp Pomperaug, our second time visitng the camp. We stayed in the Algonquin Cabin, a fairly new, log cabin style building.
We had nine Boy Scouts and two leaders participating.
For our first breakfast, we had bacon and red velvet pancakes with cream cheese frosting (the batter looked like blood). Day time activities included
sledding and igloo building. For lunch, we ate Italian Sub Soup. Dinner was Tamale Pie, cooked in a Dutch Oven. At night, the Scouts played board games and baked cookies.
Our last breakfast was another Dutch Oven creation, The Egg Has Landed Casserole.
This was the troop's sixty-second consecutive month with at least one overnight camping trip.
