On November 24, 6 Scouts, 3 leaders and one parent from Troop 54 gathered at Epworth for our fourteenth annual event to bake pies for charities. This was our first year baking at Epworth. We made all of the pie dough during the event. In the end, we had baked 33 pies. Members of Troop 7054 brought in 11 pies they had made at home.
The next morning, we boxed them up and delivered 15 pies to the Veterans Inc shelter and 29 to the Friendly House . Two Troop 54 members continued baking a home that day and delivered another 13 pies to Friendly House and the Mustard Seed soup kitchen.
Thank you to our families , Epworth families, Shaw's, Price Chopper and Stop & Shopt who donated the pie fillings and funds for other baking materials.
