On Monday, November 25, nine members of Troop 54 and Troop 7054 met to make and roll out pie dough,
generating a stack of 45 pie doughs. On Tuesday, November 26, members of Troop 54, Troop 7054 and Pack 54
assembled and baked 73 pies ((2 strawberry, 25 apple, 16 cherry, 26 pumpkin, 4 blueberry), not counting the
one we ate, during our thirteenth annual event to bake pies for charities. The next morning, we boxed them
up and delivered 25 pies to the Veterans Inc homeless shelter on Grove Street and 48 pies to Friendly House,
which runs a busy food pantry.
Thank you to our families and Epworth families who donated the pie fillings. Thanks especially to Armenian
Church of Our Savior for allowing us to bake the pies in their great kitchen and to Mark Sivazlian, member
of ACOOS and former Troop 54 Committee Member for arranging that for us.
