The Submarine Force Library amd Museum is located in Groton, Connecticut. While it covers the history, development and operation of submarines in general, the museum's main asset and exhibit is the USS Nautilus, the world's first operational nuclear-powered submarine. Visitors can enter a part of the submarine. Curiously, the rest is still off-limits to visitors, in part due to security concerns, over 65 years after the submarine was delivered to the US Navy.
