A Scout is reverent. Join Troop 54 for Scout Sunday as we participate in the Sunday service at Epworth UMC, our new chartered organization. The United Methodist Church has designated the second Sunday in February as its Scout Sunday, which is the primary date to recognize the contributions of young people and adults to Scouting. It is held in February to fall near February 8, which is Scouting Anniversary Day. Both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts are invited to attend, and this year is the 100th anniversary of Girl Scouts. We can enter the service walking behind our Troop flag. Any musicians in the troop who would like to play something during the service should contact ASM Keith MacNeal to make arrangements to practice with the music director on Thursday evenings prior to the service. The Pastor is also requesting one or two Scouts to do some readings, and Scouts to act as ushers (4) and greeters (2). 9:45 AM - meet in Fellowship Hall |
