Newton Square in Worcester, MA
Event Description
Worcester Scouts BSA troops, including Troop 54 (boys), Troop 7054 (girls), Pack 37 (boys), Troop 37 (boys) will set up a model camp site in Newton Square with a fun activity for visiting kids. This day was selected by the Heart of New England Council to be the day for all units to recruit.
The Scouts will give members of the public tips on:
- Siting and setting up tents.
- Purifying water on backwoods camping trips.
- Different types of stoves.
- Preventing the spread of pests into our forests.
Scouts should bring any food they want to eat.
Neither flames nor tent stakes are permitted in the park.
Schedule
9:45 - 10:00 AM - Set up.
10:00 AM - 2:00 PM - Run the event.
2:00 - 2:15 PM - Take down and clean up.
Registration
There is no fee or permission slip for this event.
Travel
Newton Square park is located at the traffic circle between Highland Street and Pleasant Street.
We will meet at the park.
