Treasure Valley

Troop 54 is participating in the 2011 Quinsigamond District Klondike Derby. We will enter two sleds and run a station.

Klondike Sled

This all-day event features competition between the troops in pulling their sleds over the snow and showing some Scout knowledge and ability at various stations.

We have reserved the Madore tent site in the east Camp and will camp overnight on Friday. Participation in this portion of the event is optional. Madore has a pit toilet. The nearest running water will be at the Magee building, which you pass on the way to the site.

The Klondike event takes place in West Camp. The troop will run our "Klondike Sled Obstacle Course" station along the road from the West Camp parking lot to the Katahdin tent site.

Each Scout needs to bring snacks for Saturday. The troop will have a hot dog lunch at the station. Overnight participants need to bring any meal items assigned by their patrols.

Firewood may not be brought to this camp.

Travel and Times:

The troop will meet in the church parking lot at 6:00 PM on Friday.
