Tully Trail Backpacking Trip
Saturday, April 29 -
Sunday, April 30, 2023
Royalston, Massachusetts
Event Description
For our April trip, Troop 54 returns to Tully Lake Park in Royalston, Massachusetts, for our first time since March 2012. We will hike the Tully Trail from the Spirit Falls Trailhead on Route 68/Warwick Road to the Falls Brook trail shelter (approximate location), with hiking distances estimated at 6.4 miles each day. The steep portion of the trail drops 500 feet in elevation over 0.8 mile along Spirit Falls, near the beginning of the first day and does the reverse the second day. The shelter is just a few hundred feet from the New Hampshire border, a possile day hike.
This trip was initially posted as the March 2023 trip. It was rescheduled for (hopefully) improved conditions for the backpacking trip.
This trip is open to Scouts BSA members. Participants should weigh at least 90 pounds or bring a parent to carry some of their stuff.
