Midstate Trail
Ashburnham and Westminster, MA
Troop 54 will backpack another stretch of the Midstate, some of the trail for our first time. We will have great views as we pass Mount Hunger. We estimate approximately six miles of backpacking each day.
Plan for Saturday:
- Meet at the church at 9 AM.
- Carpool to a parking area near the Midstate Trail, on Highway 101 in Ashburnham, north of Route 2.
- Hike the Midstate Trail south.
- Camp at shelter in Westminster.
Plan for Sunday:
- Break camp and hit the trail by 9 AM.
- Hike back, following the same route, to the cars.
- Drive back to ICC, arriving approximately 2 PM.
Cost: Share of food cost for patrol (Scouts and Leaders)
Permission Slip - Each participating Scout must submit this to the Scoutmaster before the event.
Adults staying overnight must have a current CORI on file with the Mohegan Council before the event (submitted via the Troop).
Travel There:
Meet at the Immaculate Conception Church parking lot at 9 AM Saturday for departure by 9:15 AM.
Estimated return to the church is 2:00 PM Sunday.
